Where is it?
Blundellsands Lawn Tennis Club, Warren Road, Crosby, Liverpool, L23 6UF. The festival takes place in a secure field so that once you have entered there’s no need to worry about children wandering off. The entrance and exit is manned at all times.
What time do the gates open?
Gates open at 12noon and close at 6pm.
What age is the event aimed at?
This is a family event that welcomes all ages. Most activities are designed so that parents and children of all ages can have fun together. We have expanded our offering older kids and grown ups. Check out our rap class, adult art, Bollywood and African dance workshop, capoeira, circus skills, embroidery and wellbeing sessions.
Is there a schedule for activities?
The event programme with full details on activities and timings will be released soon.
Do I need to pre-book or pay extra for any of the activities?
All the activities (excluding face painting, fairy den and holistic treatments) are included in the price of the ticket. Some sessions must be pre-booked on a first come, first served basis (see programme for details). All other activities are drop-in.
What are my transport parking options?
We encourage guests to walk, cycle or use public transport. Nearest train station is Blundellsands & Crosby, an 8 minute walk from the venue. There is no car park but plenty of on street parking nearby, be respectful to local residents. The car park is reserved for event staff.
Can I leave the event and come back in again?
Yes, you will be asked to show your stamp.
What can I bring into the event?
A range of food stalls and licensed bar will be on site. You are allowed to bring your own picnics but you are not permitted to bring your own alcohol on site.
Card or cash payments?
Most of the food stalls accept card payments but the bar is cash only.
Will there be veggie/vegan food options?
Yes. And highly delicious ones! Check out Fozia’s Kashmiri Kitchen and Tribe.
Can I bring camping chairs?
Yes. Picnic blankets and sun shelters are also permitted. We have an abundance of space on site.
Are dogs allowed?
Sorry, no dogs allowed except guide dogs.
Do you have accessible facilities?
Yes, the site is mostly flat grass with few obstructions. There is a disabled toilet inside the club house. Please contact one of the stewards if you require any additional assistance during the event.
What happens if it rains?
We’re taking our chances with the weather and will be sun dancing the night before. If we get unlucky, there are some covered areas (club house and tents) but we encourage you to bring umbrellas and embrace the rain!
